Bring the Chinese world to your Primary School in Manchester, Lancashire or Cheshire, with fun language and culture workshops from It's All Chinese.

If you're not currently looking to implement a long-term Chinese course into your school's curriculum, but would like to give your children the opportunity to discover a little of China's unique language and exciting culture for themselves, then a one-off taster session, or perhaps a series of workshops, might be ideal for your school.  Such events would work particularly well within a dedicated International Day or Week.

These are highly flexible workshops that can be adapted to your school's timetable, class sizes, and the needs of your children.  Whether it's a 1- or 2-hour session with one class; a full day visiting various classes within the school; or a series of weekly workshops over a half-term; we can cater for most options.  The content of the sessions follows a basic adaptable format, which can include:

  • An introduction to the spoken language
  • An introduction to the written language through calligraphy, art/craft activities and games
  • A general introduction to China (eg. history, geography, culture and festivals)
  • Learning and singing Chinese songs
  • A range of Chinese traditional clothing for children to try on, and other visual props
  • Tasting Chinese food / chopstick games
In both the cultural and linguistic aspects of the sessions, we can focus on a specific topic if this fits in with a current school theme.

It's All Chinese will provide all materials and, as always, classes are delivered by our fully qualified primary school teacher (CRB and any other necessary documentation provided on request).
